The Huffington Post is using crowdfunding to pay for a fellowship to hire and train a community journalist in Ferguson. The project raises many questions but it breaks ground in terms of funding and coverage. Here is HuffPo’s explanation and an interview with the fellowship reporter, a 23-year-old freelance journalist and recent college graduate.
It’s an experiment worth watching.
